Piano Lesson Gift Certificates — give someone the thing they keep saying

Almost everyone has a person in their life who says “I always wanted to learn piano.” Often it's a parent or grandparent, newly retired, with a piano in the house nobody plays. They rarely book it for themselves — it feels indulgent, or they assume they're too late. A gift certificate quietly removes both objections, and it doesn't go in a drawer like another candle.

Two ways to give

A first taste, or a proper start

First-lesson certificate

One lesson

One private 30-minute lesson at Jewel Tone Studio. The low-pressure way to give someone a nudge without committing them to anything.

Monthly certificate

A month

Four weekly 30-minute lessons — a full month. Long enough to actually be playing something by the end of it.

Julie will go over the details and the cost with you on the phone. Want to give more than a month, or split it with family? Call or text 940-50-PIANO and she'll arrange it.

How it works

Arranged in a phone call, not a checkout queue

1

Tell Julie who it's for

Call, text, or use the form below. She'll ask a little about the recipient so the first lesson lands well.

2

Choose a first lesson or a month

Julie will walk you through both and the cost, and you pay however is easiest.

3

Get something to hand over

You'll receive a certificate to print or send digitally, in the recipient's name, with the redemption details on it.

Who it suits

Good for the person who has everything

A parent or grandparent

Retired, with time at last, and forever mentioning the piano nobody plays. Lessons are in person at Jewel Tone Studio, on a real acoustic piano — a standing weekly appointment to look forward to. See lessons for seniors.

A partner or friend

The adult beginner who's been "meaning to get around to it" for a decade. Giving the first lesson is often the only thing that actually breaks the stalemate. See adult lessons.

Yourself, honestly

Plenty of people buy the first lesson for themselves and call it a gift. That's allowed, and it's the most common way people start.

Good to know

The small print

How long is a certificate valid?

Julie is flexible about this — the point is that the lessons get used, not that a deadline gets enforced. If life gets in the way, call and she'll work it out with you.

What if the recipient doesn't want lessons?

It happens, and nobody should be press-ganged into a hobby. Get in touch and Julie will sort out a refund or transfer it to someone who would love it.

Where are the lessons?

In person at Jewel Tone Studio, on acoustic pianos. Julie doesn't teach online — a teacher sees and hears things at the bench that a camera never catches, and most students prefer it that way.

Do you need the recipient's details to buy one?

Just a name for the certificate. Julie won't contact them until you've given it to them — nobody's surprise gets spoiled by an early email.

Can I give more than one month?

Yes. Multiple months, or a contribution split between several family members, are both easy to arrange — just call or text 940-50-PIANO.

Begin

Get in touch

Tell Julie a little about yourself — whether you've played before, and what you'd love to play — and she'll be in touch about a first lesson at Jewel Tone Studio.

Prefer to talk? She'd love to hear from you.
